The purpose of the program is to attract to the Federal service outstanding men and women from a variety of academic disciplines and career paths who have a clear interest in, and commitment to, excellence in the leadership and management of public policies and programs.

Our speakers are UB Law graduates who were awarded Presidential Management Fellowships; Emily is in her second year of the program; and Gabrielle just began her fellowship in August, 2009.

HUD attorneys Maura Malone (’92) and James Brylinski (BA, ’74) cover the basics of the HUD Office of General Counsel Legal Honors Program and beginning a career with the federal government. HUD lawyers practice in areas of law including assisted housing and community development, fair housing, finance and regulatory reform, tax law, human resources, employment, labor law, civil rights, and litigation.
